There are three parties in the government that are Democrats, Republicans, and the Independents. The Democratic party focuses on making things fair for everyone by using the government to help and protect nature. They really care about the workers, so they want to get them higher pay, stronger unions, and higher taxes for the rich companies to pay for stuff like fixing roads. They also think that everyone should be able to go to the doctor, so they protect programs like Medicare and make medicine cheaper. To help save the world from climate change they want to stop using fossil fuel. The Democrats are a big protectors of civil rights, which means they support LGBQ+ that people of same sex can get married.
The Republicans want to help by making the government smaller and giving people the freedom to make their own choices. They believe the economy grows best when companies have fewer rules to follow and when taxes are low, so people can keep most of people's money. They also believe that the government should not run medicare because people can get better doctors that way. Also, the Republicans don't support the LGBQ+ movement.
