The midterms are in. It was a sea of Democratic wins, but Florida remained under the Republicans with Ashly Moody beating Angie Nixon and Byron Donalds beating David Jolly. Byron Donalds is the first black governor in the history of the state of Florida. Texas has flipped to a Democratic state with James Talarico making history becoming the first democratic senator in 33 years. As well, still in the state of Texas the first Latin woman in Texas history is Gina Hinojosa is the Democratic governor it has been 32 years since a democrat holds that position.
Kelsha Lance Bottoms is the first black woman to be governor of Georgia as a Democrat. In Georgia, Democrat John Osoff got a tremendous win to hold his senate seat. The Democrats won the senate and the house of representatives. How will the president react to not being able to use congress for the next two years?
The Republican Susan Collins after her fifth term she was finally defeated by Troy Jackson. This is a flip for the senate. In South Carolina a pediatrician, Annele Andrews defeating Trump picked Darline Graham. A strange quindiance is that all the Trump picked candidates all lost. The GOP party is going to have to learn from this routing.
