6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - BO7 is the newest black ops being released November 14, 2025 and received many sales on its release. A little bit after they’ve been receiving huge backlash on its campaign for it being buggy, random, and short. Players also have been disappointed by the use of AI and the loss of creativity. Black Ops 7 did worse than Black Ops 6 on its release with less than 100k players compared to bo6’s 300k players.


5. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Black Ops 4 despite being older it still has done worse than Black Ops 5 and 6. The players mostly didn’t like this Black Ops because of the removal of the campaign and the huge amount of microtransactions. Black Ops 4 struggled to get sales compared to the other Black Ops. At its peak it received 63,000 players on steam one day.


4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - Black Ops 6 did pretty well for it being released on October 25, 2024 and did really well because it brought back prestige, balanced weapons, and excellent weapon mechanics. These features made the players happy and they received good feedback. But, it also received hate from the players from bland maps, poor PC performance, and buggy maps. Over 50 million people played Black Ops 6.


3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - Black Ops 3 was released on November 6, 2015. People consider this one of the best Black Ops for the futurist player movement, many zombie easter eggs, a huge weapon variety, and well-designed maps. But, people also complained about the inclusion of weapons in supply drops and a bad campaign.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - This is the first Black Ops ever made, releasing on November 19, 2010, introducing team deathmatch, domination, search and destroy, capture the flag, free-for-all, and Zombies. Black Ops received 5 million players in its release and a couple-thousand people still play today.


1. Call of Duty: Black Ops II - The best Black Ops by far released on November 13, 2012. Black Ops II is considered the best Black Ops by the community because of the very good campaign with player choice allowing you to select options that impact the campaign. Also because of the balanced and fun multiplayer and the original zombie maps. On its release it had 7.5 million copies sold and has almost 1 thousand players today.
