Charlie Kirk Assassinated at Utah Valley University

On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was there for his “American Comeback Tour,” where he gave speeches and answered questions. The shooting happened around 12:23 p.m. during an outdoor event with about 3,000 people watching.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man named Tyler James Robinson not long after it happened. They charged him with aggravated murder and some other crimes. Investigators said they think the attack was planned ahead of time. Fortunately, no one else in the crowd was hurt.

The case is still moving through the courts. Robinson’s lawyers asked for more time to go through all the evidence before the next hearing. Police are continuing to collect information to figure out exactly why this happened.

Charlie Kirk’s death shocked people all over the country. Lots of leaders and supporters posted messages about him online, and a huge memorial service was held on September 21, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona. Tens of thousands of people came to honor his life and the work he did with young people in politics.
