The match between these two sides was heavily overshadowed by drama surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo walking out of the Portuguese camp the day before the match after learning he would be benched by head coach Jorge Jesus.
In the 13 minute Joao Cancelo opened the game with a goal assisted by Goncalo Ramos. Then Denmark equalized in the 23rd minute Mikkel Damsgaard. Goncalo Ramos quickly restored the lead back into their favor. The final score ended 4-2 in Portugal's favor securing their spot in the knockout rounds.
Despite him not being there for 2 games they maintain a 3-0-0 record, and look to be top of the group. Looking to be one of the favorites in this tournament as they won it last year against Spain in 2025.
With this win, Portugal will face Norway this Sunday, while Denmark takes on Wales .
